| There seems to be an awful lot of new engines coming out with 206cc. Any chance the F200 standard will be updated so we don't have to replace the crank?

| | With all the current engines at 200 cc's or less what good would it do to increase it? This would obviously force our current F200 racers to spend a substantial amount to up grade to the new displacement which wouldn't be fair to them. It would seem to me if someone were interested in the class they would go by the current rules that have been in effect for over 7 years! Why change them when you could go buy a 190 cc crank and join the fun and not step on any bodies toes. Mike |

| No one would have to update anything, but you are forcing those who might be interested to replace a crank for 6cc's. Just seems a bit pointless to me.

| My point being that I would like to see the F200 raced locally, but everyone I talk to says they refuse to detune their Animals just so they can run in a slower class. It's even more difficult now with the popularity of the clones. I see your point, though. It is more important to stick to the old standards than to increase the appeal of the class.

| | Awhile back we had a company with an engine that was 212 cc's so where do we draw the line? You also have to keep in mind that 206 cc's is just the beginning because what do you intend to do when its time to rebuild or your bore is crooked and needs line boring. All the current approved engines can get several rebuilds and still be under 200 cc. Just buy a 190 crank and you can go .050 over if you want!!! lol Mike |

| | James Asking for rule changes this far into the game is exactly what is hurting the Animal. They (Briggs) for example are constantly making changes to the parts and having IKF and WKA change the rules to suit the parts or lack of tolerance control. If you look at some of the other forums, people are tired of spending money just to keep up with the new parts and updated rules. As Mike said, these rules have been the same for many years and it is continuing to grow because it is easy to tech and you aren't having to constantly upgrade your engine. Buy the crank and come race. You will be glad you did. Or buy a Yamaha and build it. By the way 6cc's is a lot or there wouldn't be a rule on it. Corey |

| | James Nothing personal but "detune to run a slower class" the F200 is a higher HP engine than the animal. At one of the local tracks here in Indiana they offer both animal and F200 and the F200 is almost 8/10 faster than the animal at the same weight. What you lose in cc's you will more than gain back with the carb and head porting
